Fine Arts Show

The Fine Arts Show features artistic renditions in a variety of mediums and includes both 2D and 3D artwork. Fine Art is visual art whose products are to be appreciated solely for their imaginative, aesthetic or intellectual content and requiring great skill. Fine Art is different than Decorative Art which generally performs a function, like tole painting on furniture or making a picture from wood inlays which would be considered a craft.

People Choice, How to vote:
Starting November 14th at 10:00 a.m. our site will be open for you, the community to vote for your favorite artist or piece of art!

✔You can vote for the same entry once every 12 hours
✔You can vote for multiple entries.

People's choice voting will end on Sunday, November 29th at noon.
The winners are announced on December 1st.

About Show The Fine Arts Show

The Fine Arts Show is divided into Amateur and Professional Divisions. Entrants who teach art or create and sell art routinely should enter the Professional Division. Hobbyists or artists who may only sell one or two pieces annually, may enter the Amateur Division.

Each piece is entered into one of the following categories:

• 2-D Category: Artwork that is flat and hangable, framing optional. Includes oil, acrylic, watercolor or other medium, and charcoal, graphite or pastel drawing.

• 3-D Category: Three dimensional artwork can be displayed on a table or floor.

Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, composition, execution, overall general effect.

AWARDS:

• Best of Show: Judges select from all entries in both divisions: $200

• Professional Division: from either the 2-D or 3-D Category: 1st Place $150, 2nd Place $100, 3rd Place $75

• Amateur Division: from either the 2-D or 3-D Category: 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $75, 3rd Place $50

• People’s Choice: $100 will be awarded in either 2-D or 3-D fine art category across Pro and Am divisions.

Ribbons and cash awards will be mailed to the winners.

Show entries featuring flowers are also eligible for the $500 Helena McComb Award.
